| SunStar™ 800 Low Light CCD Camera |
The SunStar™ 800 is a very high sensitivity video camera that can be used for 24-hour surveillance. At the heart of the camera is an EMCCD detector that gives outstanding performance from bright sunlight to overcast starlight and below. The camera’s digital architecture provides enhanced performance at the lowest light levels and enables the user to confi gure the camera for optimum performance.
The 2/3" format, monochrome SunStar 800 operates from bright sunlight down to overcast starlight conditions at TV frame rates with fully automatic level control. Extended integration allows imaging at even lower levels with reduced frame rates. Flexible and easy to use, the camera offers bright, crisp images in full daylight and its selectable temporal and spatial fi ltering options combined with the integral Peltier cooled EMCCD package enables the user to attain optimal performance at the very lowest light levels. As a result, the camera gives outstanding target recognition and identifi cation capability.

| Explanation: |
The SunStar 800 is an EMCCD (Electron Multiplied) unit so it continues to provide real time imaging in very low light levels and continues to stream real time video as well. The Sunstar 300 will also work at low-light levels, however, at some point, in order to keep working the camera performs frame averaging (also called binning) so you loose the real time streaming video and are provided video clips with pauses in between.
