weapons mounts for the NEpvs-14 monocular

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

One of the most popular features of the PVS-14 monocular is it's ability to be mounted on a weapon behind a sight. This enables the user to utilize their weapon at night and/or in near total darkness. It also allows the user to take advantage of their existing reticle sighting system that they are already familiar with in day use and apply it to a nighttime setting.

Just like skinning a cat, there are many different options for mounting the PVS-14 night vision monocular to a weapon. While this is certainly not a complete list, here is a list of the more popular mounts/methods used:

PVS-14 Weapons Mount
ARMS 69 Mount
GG&G QD High Mount
GG&G QD Low Mount
Monoloc™ Universal Adapter
Additional Considerations...

When considering a mount for your PVS-14, the most important consideration will be how you like it. The weight, the feel, the performance, and the accuracy of your shooting as a result. The second will be probably be how to line it up (zero it) behind your existing day optic or sight. Elevation and windage on the rail system of your weapon and the ability to line up your sighting with the sight post (if there is one), will be key factors in this determination.

More than likely, you'll want something that is already zeroed to your existing day sight or scope, so you can quickly make the exchange from day to night. Most of the available mounts listed below have been designed to eliminate any need to re-zero your existing weapon sight setup. All you have to do is mount them directly behind your day scope. Hopefully, your weapon has a rail system long enough to accommodate a night vision monocular.

Additionally, most night vision mounts are designed for tactical assault type rifles, such as the MP4/M16, AR15, MP5, but there are solutions for other types of rifles that feature a Weaver or Picatinny style rail system. Every gun is different, so every setup is different. If you don't know what your options are for your particular weapon, please call us at: 1-800-424-8222 and we can help you.

  NEPVS-14 WEAPONS MOUNT MIL-SPEC
This Mil-Spec weapons mount attaches a PVS-14 or 6015 night vision monocular to a Weaver or Picatinny style rail. Features easy-to-use thumb screws and torque preset. The elevation is preset to a standard weapons mount height. This is the lowest cost weapons mount available for the PVS-14 and probably the most widely used for that reason, but not necessarily the best or most versatile. The mount screws directly into the 1/4" screw hole on the side of the system housing, turning the system on it's side allowing the illuminator to be used (if necessary) without interference from the actual sight directly in front of the monocular.

ARMS #M-69 ADJUSTABLE THROW LEVER MOUNT
The popular ARMS #M-69 Adjustable Throw Lever Mount allows NEPVS-14 and 6015 users to attach these monoculars to any rifle base and use them in conjunction with a sighting or optical device. Two thumb screws with integral self-locking systems and slots allow for easy removal. Tough, state-of-the-art coatings or solid stainless steel parts are used to prevent rust and corrosion and have a non-reflective matte finish. Positive locating surfaces hold and locate the NEPVS-14 or 6015 in place. An adjustable height carrier with locators prevents slippage horizontally or vertically during firings. A calibrated scale assists the user in returning the carrier to a favored sweet spot.

  GG&G QUICK DETACH HIGH MOUNT
The GG&G Quick Detach (QD) High Mount for the ITT night vision NEPVS-14 and 6015 monoculars is designed to go rapidly and easily from a head/helmet mount or hand surveillance mode to a weapon mount. Once the NEPVS-14 weapon mount's base and ring are installed, just the rotation of the locking lever will rigidly lock the scope into place. Just as quickly, it can be removed and used to meet the tactical situation. Our unique QD ring remains attached to the night vision monocular at all times and interfaces with the weapon's mount in mere seconds. Unlike other products on the market, the removal of mount components is not required to quickly and directly attach the PVS-14 to a head or helmet mount. This flexibility and versatility is essential in tactical encounters. The QD base permits optical co-alignment with sights, such as the Aimpoint or EOTech that may be mounted in front of the night vision scope. The PVS-14 Tall Mount provides the correct height to co-align with the Aimpoint Comp Series of optics when mounted in both GG&G Aimpoint Cantilever Rings as well as when mounted in the Aimpoint QRP ring with the spacer. It also co-aligns with most night vision compatible EOTech optics when mounted directly to the upper receiver.

  GG&G QUICK DETACH LOW MOUNT
The GG&G Quick Detach (QD) low mount for the ITT NEPVS-14 and 6015 night vision monoculars is designed to go rapidly and easily from a head/helmet mount or hand surveillance to a weapon mount, just like it's cousin the High Mount featured directly above. The Low Quick Detach PVS-14 Night Vision Mount was designed for use with the GG&G FIRE System Scout Rail. With this combination of components, the ITT NEPVS-14 viewing image will clear the AR15/M16’s front sight post and the unit itself will have sufficient clearance over the MAD or A2 Back Up Iron Sights. The mount is fully compatible with MIL-STD-1913 dovetails. All parts are manufactured from ordnance steel and aerospace 6061 T6 aluminum and are finished to meet mil-spec. [ More information ]

Price: $ 277.50

  MONOLOC™ UNIVERSAL ADAPTER
The popular Monoloc™ adapter fits the ITT night vision monoculars as well as the MV-14 Ultra monocular. It allows for mounting of the night vision monocular directly onto the eyepiece of rifle optics, close quarters battle optics, laser rangefinders, spotting scopes, cameras and camcorders.

ADDITIONAL WEAPONS MOUNTING CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE PVS-14
If you are involved with tactical operations or surveillance you'll may want to use a shuttered eyeguard to keep the light emitted from the eyepiece down to a minimum. Keeping the light down will avoid giving your position away to others using the same or similar equipment.
