PEGASUS 8 Infrared Beacon System |
Pegasus 8 is an infrared signaling beacon system engineered as a route marker for personnel, vehicles and aircraft. The system is comprised of up to ten beacons that broadcast a sequenced flash pattern that can be used to indicate direction or an approach lighting pattern The sequenced flash pattern is easily distinguished by the viewer as a directive and coordinated signal.
The system is completely wireless and does not require any communication between the beacons to maintain the synchronization during operations. Once deployed each beacon is self maintaining. Weighing less than two pounds, a set of ten Pegasus cascading beacons offers unmatched functionality in a covert, light weight, approach lighting system. The Pegasus 8 is ideal for use retrieval of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on unfinished landing fields or roadways. |

Each Pegasus 8 beacon emits a single flash once per second. The next beacon in the sequence is delayed 0.1 second before it broadcasts its one second flash. A group of ten deployed beacons will provide a constant sequenced flash pattern.
The Pegasus 8’s flash pattern sequences can be synchronized by using the beacons themselves or by using the Pegasus 6 Programmer (902412). |
