[AN/PEQ-15] - ATPIAL - TRAINING LASER/ILLUMINATOR Insight's Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Laser (ATPIAL) Training System utilizes the same small, lightweight, easy-to-use housing as the typical AN/PEQ-15 system, but with two visible (red) aiming lasers and a visible (red) illuminator instead of one (1) visible and (2) infrared laser/illuminators. The Insight ATPIAL training systems are used to facilitate familiarity with the ATPIAL system through training exercises, day or night. The ATPIAL training system operates as a Class II laser.

Night Vision in the NEWS: - Florida Man Guilty of Shining Laser at Law Enforcement Helicopter: He pointed the laser at the helicopter no fewer than four times, causing the tactical flight officer's night vision goggles to shut down and causing disorientation inside the aircraft.
- Sheriff’s office takes down meth lab, makes arrests: Officials found six or seven ingredients used to manufacture and sell methamphetamine, including chemicals, a cooker, tubing, baggies, scales, filters, etc. They also found counter surveillance equipment including night vision binoculars.
