This means that your credit card information is encrypted by a secure socket layer (SSL)at 128 bits and sent to the shopping cart server where it safely held until your order is processed. Once processed, it is then deleted for your further protection.
Look for the lock symbol and the "https" in your browser's address bar when you get to the final check out page where you enter your credit card information.
