Thermal-Eye™ DVS - Driver's Vision System.
The Driver's Vision System delivers a high-performing, real-time imaging system to war-fighters who operate tactical wheeled vehicles (TWV's) at night and in degraded visibility conditions. Our Gold Standard uncooled LWIR imaging sensor technology is the most effective at penetrating smoke, fog, haze, rain and sandstorms.
The highly reliable and successfully validated 320x240 BST detectors provide consistently clear imagery under the most challenging dynamic conditions. Real-time thermal imaging system designed to aid in vehicle navigation and situational awareness. System is used by the driver in impaired vision situations: Darkness Covert “lights out” driving Inclement weather Rain, sleet, haze, etc. Dust Wind blown or vehicle induced Smoke Driving directly into the sun Enhanced situational awareness |
Warning: Requires U.S. Department of Commerce License for export.
Product Features:
Gold Standard Image Quality - The absolute lowest spatial noise under the most challenging and dynamic scene conditions guarantees a clear image.
Immunity to Solar Radiation - The detector suffers zero damage when looking directly at the sun for extended periods of time.
Automatic Anti-Icing - Freezing temperatures do not impact or compromise system operability
Display Control Module - (640x480 VGA) - Operator may self-select polarity setting, display brightness, sensor level and sensor gain.
Easy DIY Installation - Quickly move camera and display between vehicles in less than 10 minutes with pre-installed mounting hardware and cabling.
The DCM mounting bracket attaches to the vehicle cab frame above the sun visor and centered with the steering wheel. In the “up” or stowed position, the display is out of view and does not interfere with the driver In the “down” or active position, the DCM is the driver’s primary vision interface. All controls are easily accessible when needed.
