Thermal-Eye TSCXP THERMAL Security CAMERA
Thermal-Eye
TSCxp. The Thermal-Eye™ TSCxp (Extended Performance) utilizes cutting edge infrared technology to create the ultimate camera for surveillance and security applications. The Thermal-Eye™ TSCxp enhances the effectiveness of any security program by providing the ability to see in complete darkness where other solutions fail. No illumination is required. With a 25mm lens the Thermal-Eye™ TSCxp can detect intruders over long distances by sensing the heat emitted from an object, person or animal. The sleek black Thermal-Eye™ TSCxp offers a broader operating range than its sister product, the Thermal-Eye™ TSCss. Athermalized optics also provide the advantage of focus over extreme temperatures. The plug and play compatible Thermal-Eye™ TSCxp drops into any standard enclosure and can be installed in just minutes.

Thermal Camera Enclosures
Thermal cameras require enclosures in order to operate in extreme weather conditions i.e. cold and/or hot. Thermal cameras typically operate best in moderate temperatures, so depending on your application and environment, an inside heater and/or defroster may be required. Some enclosures additionally have vent grills and insulation. For more information on Pelco Enclosures visit the website. |

| TSCss vs. TSCxp
The main differences between the TSCss and the TSCxp are the operating temperature ranges. The TSCxp can operate under wider fluctuating temperature ranges (hot/cold and enclosed/unenclosed). The TSCxp is also longer in size and weighs slightly more. Multiple lens selections are allowed on the models. |
Window Kits
When the Standard Series Thermal-Eye TSCss Camera is used in an enclosure (like the Pelco 2500), a special infrared transmitting window must be purchased to replace the existing window. Thermal technology does not see through "glass". To be enclosed, the thermal camera window section must be made of silicon or germanium. See our Window Kits for more information. |

| Notes: |
| 1. For outdoor use, the TSCss is assumed to be installed in a Pelco enclosure, model EH4718-2, with heater, defroster, blower, and sun shroud options, and with the vent covers installed, or equivalent NEMA 4 rated enclosure. |
| 2. When used in an enclosure, an infrared-transmitting window must be installed. Infrared conversion kits are available for the following Pelco enclosure products: Pelco Series 2500, Pelco Series 3500, and Pelco Series 4700. |
| 3. For outdoor use, a UL approved protective enclosure with NEMA 4 rating must be used. |
4. Other video formats also available |
5. Universal Series Enclosure window comes as a kit designed to fit the intended enclosure after being sized by the installer. The silicon or germanium window is the bonded into the frame using the provided bonding material and instructions, to ensure proper fit and function. |
