SPECTER IR+ SP 50D
THERMAL EXTENDED RANGE WEAPON SIGHT.
The ELCAN SpecterIR+
adds a new long-range dimension to the hugely successful
SpecterIR family of Thermal Weapon Sights. Designed
specifically for long-range rifle and machinegun applications,
the SpecterIR+ empowers the user with detection capability
out to 750 meters and beyond. Features include electronic
zoom, user selectable reticles, and ballistic compensation.
 Built
to the same rugged standards as the other members of
the SpecterIR family, the SpecterIR + has been specifically
tested and qualified for M240 and M249 machinegun and
may be configured to suit .50BMG weapon systems. |

Built
to the same legendary rugged standards as other ELCAN
weapon sighting systems, the SpecterIR family is shock
and water-resistant and will withstand the forces
generated by repeated recoil. The quick-detachable
mount allows fast attachment to Mil-Std-1913 'Picatinny'
rails and weapon receivers. Once sighted-in to a particular
weapon, the sight may be interchanged with other ELCAN
optical and electro-optical sights zeroed for the
same weapon in a matter of seconds and without noticeable
change in point of impact.
The electronic reticle
allows precise targeting of hostile threats, and changes
color to provide maximum contrast against its background.
The SpecterIR SP50D operates on three lithium AA batteries
and has auxiliary power ports for operation on AC
electrical outlets or vehicle cigarette lighters.
A video output port allows the sight picture to be
displayed on an external video monitor or recorded
by video recorder. When used solely as an observation
device, the unit may be operated hand-held or tripod
mounted.
